My Story

I’ve helped many family members, neighbors and friends organize their homes. Finally, one of them said, “Geralin, start charging for these services; you have a business.” I created Metropolitan Organizing®, LLC and gathered a top-notch team of home organization experts who provide professional home and home-office organizing services to clients in and around Raleigh, North Carolina.

Beyond my expertise in overcoming the complexities of disorganization, I coach new home organizing consultants and productivity professionals from around the world via phone. I share my insights and offer expert advice on practically every aspect of the industry. You may have seen my body of work published in an array of national magazines or featured on A&E’s Hoarders, The Nate Berkus Show, The Today Show or South Africa’s The Home Channel.

In 2018 I received the President’s Award from the National Association of Productivity and Organizing Professionals. In addition, I earned the highest level of certification in the professional organizing field as a Level V, Master Trainer, CPO-CD in 2010 and, in 2013 I was named the Best Chronic Disorganization Expert in the organizing industry.
